Wednesday’s baseball slate provided plenty of noteworthy home runs. Here’s a look at the top stats of the day for those that we thought were most significant.

• Noah Syndergaard's fourth-inning home run was calculated at 430 feet, the longest home run hit by a pitcher since Carlos Zambrano's 431-footer in 2012. He also became the fourth pitcher in the last 50 years to throw seven scoreless innings in a game while collecting three hits, including a home run.

• Alex Rodriguez hit at three-run homer in the third inning, passing Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig to take sole possession of third on baseball's official career RBI list with 1,995, according to Elias. The 352-foot home run was his shortest since June 20, 2012.

• Nelson Cruz is tied for the major-league lead in home runs with 18 after his go-ahead three-run shot in the ninth inning. At this point last year he had 17 home runs; he would go on to lead the majors in that category. He now has 43 home runs of at least 425 feet in the last five seasons, which is second to Giancarlo Stanton (58).

•  Cruz is tied with Bryce Harper, who hit his 18th home run of the season. He has 13 home runs since May 6. No one else has more than 10 in that span. All 18 of Harper's home runs this season have come on pitches on pitches within the outer-third or middle-third of the strike zone, or off the outside corner.

• Dustin Pedroia recorded his second multi-home run game this season. He had none in the previous three seasons and three total in his career entering the 2015 season. His five career home runs against Phil Hughes are his most against any pitcher.

• Todd Frazier hit his 14th home run of the season; he is now tied with Mark Teixeira for third in baseball, trailing Cruz (18) and Bryce Harper (17).

• Josh Donaldson hit his third game-tying or go-ahead home run in the ninth inning or later this season, the most in the majors.

• Lucas Duda had his second multi-home run game in his last six games, hitting two home runs of 425+ feet.

• Nolan Arenado hit his 10th home run of the season; he now has three in his last four games and is tied for 14th in MLB.
