Former Rams QB Sam Bradford winning over many in Philadelphia

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- After the St. Louis Rams traded quarterback Sam Bradford to the Philadelphia Eagles in March, I promised myself I wouldn't offer Bradford updates in this space until the regular season. But after a weekend performance that has many talking about Bradford, I'm going to go ahead and break that promise.

Bradford went nuclear against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night, harkening back to his Oklahoma days with an aerial show that would make the Blue Angels proud. He completed all 10 of his passes for 121 yards and three touchdowns before calling it a night. It served as a not-so-subtle reminder of Bradford's talent -- wait for it -- when healthy.

ESPN Eagles reporter Phil Sheridan offered this analysis of Bradford's big night. Worth noting, Sheridan mentions that this is probably the end of the preseason line for Bradford, which means he's likely to make it to the regular season intact for the first time since 2013.

Taking it a step further, KC Joyner offered this piece, in which he writes that with Bradford leading the charge, the Eagles are a legit contender.

As everyone in St. Louis knows, Bradford is undeniably gifted when it comes to throwing the football. Those two words "if healthy" eventually became too much for the Rams to overcome. But putting Bradford in Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly's offense certainly could be a dangerous mix for the rest of the NFL.
