St. Louis task force to present stadium plan to NFL

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Earlier this week, word leaked that the St. Louis Rams, San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders would be presenting their plans for stadiums in Inglewood and Carson to the NFL next week.

Those presentations will be made to league officials as well as the six NFL owners appointed to the Committee on Los Angeles Opportunities at the league offices in New York City. But those won't be the only presentations on the docket.

The St. Louis stadium task force led by local businessmen Dave Peacock and Bob Blitz will also be presenting. According to a release from the task force the presentation will "provide an update to the NFL on stadium design, project schedule and efforts underway in St. Louis."

When that happens, it will represent the first time the group has presented in person to the league and some of its owners. The $985 million stadium proposal is slated to be built on the north riverfront should it be approved by the league and a team owner.

The meetings are scheduled for the middle of next week. It's unclear if San Diego and/or Oakland will have local representatives making similar presentations about opportunities for stadiums in their current markets.
