Prediction: Rams bounce back against Giants

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The St. Louis Rams missed their chance to have a three-game winning streak when they came up short last week against the Arizona Cardinals.

Now they look to rebound against a New York Giants team that, like the Rams, has feasted on some weaker opponents in recent weeks. The Rams haven't allowed a touchdown in three games, and with their defense rolling, they should be able to get their share of pressure on New York quarterback Eli Manning. The Giants have been middle of the road in pass protection, ranking 15th by allowing 29 sacks on the season.

Meanwhile, New York's pass rush has been firing on all cylinders in the past three weeks with 22 sacks in that time. That could be bad news for a Rams offensive line that was battered by Arizona last week. The difference this week is that Arizona has the league’s worst run defense in terms of yards per carry, yielding 4.9 yards per attempt.

The Rams should be able to run the ball much better this week than they did against the Cardinals’ stingy run defense which will allow them to keep the New York defense off balance and make some plays in the passing game.

Add in the Giants’ propensity for turnovers (their 27 giveaways is tied for 27th in the league) and the recipe is there for the Rams to get their seventh victory of the season.

My prediction: Rams 24, Giants 10
