Prediction: 49ers beat battered Rams

If you thought last week was ugly, well, this one could be even worse for the St. Louis Rams as they travel to Levi's Stadium for the first time to play the San Francisco 49ers.

The Niners are getting healthy and coming off a bye and the Rams are in the middle of a brutal stretch of schedule with a team now missing its starting left tackle and best wide receiver. The Rams' defense is allowing 6.16 yards per play, which is second worst in the NFL, and the Niners burned them for 6.65 yards per snap in San Francisco's 31-17 win just three weeks ago.

The only things that have changed since is the venue of the game and the respective health of each team.

The Rams' health status is of particular concern. The team has listed 13 players on its injury report this week and will be entering this game against the NFL's second-ranked defense with a patchwork offensive line and an unsettled running back situation. On the other side, the Rams also have question marks abound in a secondary that allowed Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick to throw for 343 yards in the first meeting.

The 49ers have not lost to the Rams in the previous six meetings by the Bay and the Rams are 2-9-1 in their past dozen games in San Francisco. Things don't get any better this time around.

My prediction: 49ers 30, Rams 13
