The best of the SEC draft posters

The NFL draft is a great time for college coaches to see their former players go on and take the first step to achieving their dreams at the next level.

It can also be a recruiting tool. Schools keep finding new ways to use the draft as a way to look more appealing to potential recruits. From the NFL jerseys of former players hung on the walls at Alabama to actual life-size figurines for every NFL team lining the hallway at Ole Miss, it’s a selling point for these schools.

The latest trend is posters of past and present players that schools and coaches alike have been tweeting out this week. Here’s a look at some from the SEC.

At Alabama, they’re hyping potential first-round picks Amari Cooper and Landon Collins with the slogan “It’s not a matter of if, but when.”

Bret Bielema is sticking with his “Uncommon” theme at Arkansas. The Razorbacks have a trio of defenders who should get drafted this weekend.

My personal favorite might be at Florida where they relate it back to high school recruits choosing the hat of the school they want to play for. Clever idea promoted by first-year coach Jim McElwain.

Kentucky is taking advantage of its draft class highlighted by potential first-round pick Alvin “Bud” Dupree.

At Mississippi State, they’re using the slogan “From State to Sundays.” Once again, I like it.

And last but not least, Texas A&M is promoting Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans, a pair of first-round picks in last year’s draft.
