Seahawks sign CB Terrell Thomas

The Seattle Seahawks have signed former New York Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas, who played for Seahawks coach Pete Carroll at USC. Doug Hendrickson, Thomas' agent, confirmed the signing Monday on Twitter.

Thomas, 29, was a second-round draft pick by the Giants in 2008, but his NFL career has been plagued with knee injuries, including three ACL surgeries. Thomas had 67 tackles last season with New York before becoming a free agent.

Thomas missed all of the 2011 and 2012 seasons, but played in every regular-season game for the Giants in 2009 and 2010 when he had a total of 10 interceptions, five forced fumbles and 34 passes defensed in those two seasons.
