Spencer Ware's DUI case dismissed

The DUI case against Seattle Seahawks fullback Spencer Ware was dismissed on Friday, the Seattle Times reported Monday.

Ware was arrested in Seattle on suspicion of DUI early in the morning of Jan. 12, following the team's playoff victory over the New Orleans Saints.

Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County prosecutor’s office, told the Times that the case was dismissed after a judge ruled the officer lacked reasonable suspicion of DUI at the time he initiated the traffic stop.

Ware, a rookie out of LSU last season, was a sixth-round draft pick by the Seahawks. He missed most of the season with an ankle injury. Ware is listed as a fullback, but also can play running back.
