Okung, Thomas make McShay's top 32

Two current Seahawks -- offensive tackle Russell Okung and free safety Earl Thomas -- made ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay’s list of the top 32 prospects to come out of the draft in the past five years.

Both Okung and Thomas were first-round picks in 2010, and it’s clear now the Seahawks made great choices.

Okung, the No. 6 overall pick that year out of Oklahoma State, ranked 17th on McShay’s list and was considered the best offensive tackle in that draft. Okung was a Pro Bowl starter in 2012 at left tackle, but his career has been plagued with injuries. He missed half of the 2013 season with a torn ligament in a big toe, but returned to help anchor the line in the last nine games.

Thomas is ranked as the No. 27 prospect on McShay’s top 32. He was the 14th overall pick in 2010, leaving Texas after his sophomore year. No one questioned Thomas’ athletic ability, but some people wondered if a lack of size (5-foot-10, 200 pounds) would hinder him.

Clearly, it hasn’t. Thomas, who turns 25 on May 7, is widely regarded as the best safety in the NFL. He's a three-time All-Pro and was a serious contender for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award last season.
