Seattle Seahawks free-agent offensive lineman Paul McQuistan has reached a two-year deal with the Cleveland Browns for $3 million, a source revealed to ESPN’s John Clayton on Monday.

McQuistan, 30, started 14 games last season for the Seahawks -- six at left guard and eight at left tackle -- while Russell Okung was out with a foot injury.

McQuistan returned to guard when Okung came back, but McQuistan did not start any of the three playoff games. He signed with Seattle as a free agent in 2011 and started every game in 2012.

But McQuistan counted $3.4 million against the salary cap in 2013, so it was unlikely the Seahawks were interested in re-signing him. The coaches are high are two 2013 rookies -- Michael Bowie and Alvin Bailey -- to step in and play regularly in 2014. It’s also likely the team will select an offensive lineman early in the 2014 draft.

McQuistan is the seventh free agent the Seahawks have lost this month and second veteran offensive lineman, along with starting right tackle Breno Giacomini, who signed with the New York Jets.

Seattle now has lost 10 players who were part of the Super Bowl-winning team, including three players who were released -- defensive ends Chris Clemons and Red Bryant and wide receiver Sidney Rice.
