Is Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor the most overrated player in the NFL?

Every weekday morning, we'll round up local and national Seattle Seahawks-related links.

Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com writes that Kam Chancellor is the most overrated player in the league:

Chancellor is a big hitter, which is why the highlight shows love him, but he has never been good in coverage and that was exposed even more last season. In the past four seasons, he has six interceptions and he doesn't do a great job when asked to cover tight ends.

The game has changed. Some 10 to 15 years ago, Chancellor would have been an all-out star. But with offenses spread out, he's becoming more of a liability.

Frank Clark is poised to make the second-year leap, writes NFL.com's Bucky Brooks:

The Seahawks were willing to let Bruce Irvin walk as a free agent due to Clark's potential impact as a premier pass-rusher off the edge. The 6-foot-3, 272-pound defensive end flashed strong hands and an explosive first step as a rookie, notching three sacks in limited action, but he should triple that number with more opportunities as an inside-outside pass-rusher in sub packages.

Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times takes a look at what's in store for Jeremy Lane in 2016:

Lane, though, figures to move inside to defend the slot when the Seahawks go to their nickel formations. That would make use of his experience as a nickelback and allow Seattle to potentially use a bigger corner such as Simon or DeShawn Shead on the outside in those situations.

However Lane is used, eyes will also be on him to see how he responds to the first significant payday of his NFL career.
