Seahawks sign CFL WR Jeff Fuller, RB Cameron Marshall

Every weekday morning, we'll round up local and national Seattle Seahawks-related links.

The Seahawks signed CFL wide receiver Jeff Fuller and running back Cameron Marshall on Thursday. Stephen Cohen of SeattlePI.com with more on Fuller:

The 25-year-old Fuller totaled 47 receptions for 619 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games with the Calgary Stampeders last season. The Texas A&M product is a big target, listed at 6-foot-4 and 223 pounds, and is the son of former San Francisco 49ers defensive back Jeff Fuller.

After a failing to catch on with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in both 2012 and 2013, Fuller went north, pulling down 91 receptions for 1,251 yards and 8 touchdowns in three seasons with Stampeders, but was slowed by knee, shoulder and foot injuries, according to the Calgary Herald.

Larry Stone of the Seattle Times on why Marshawn Lynch will be missed:

Ultimately, it won’t be Lynch’s quirks and eccentricities that we’ll miss most (though I have a hunch we -- even the media he tweaked for all those years -- will be nostalgic for those a lot sooner than we’d imagine).

It will be the toughness and intimidation and presence he brought the Seahawks, each one a palpable force that enriched the ballclub in numerous ways.

In an interview with 710 ESPN Seattle, John Clayton said the Seahawks can't do anything with Michael Bennett's contract because of the ripple effect it would have with other guys on the roster:

Clayton says everyone realizes that Bennett is underpaid, but that there's nothing Seattle an do about it.

"Earl Thomas wanted, when he was negotiating his contract, to be one of the top-paid defensive players, not [just] the top safety," Clayton said. "So he wanted the $14 million, not the $10 million. He had to settle for the $10 million. He'll come back and say, 'I played in the Super Bowl with a totally torn shoulder, I came back and played everything the next year.' He'll come back and he'll want more, so you really can't do anything now [with Bennett]."
