Kevin Norwood could be on Seahawks' WR bubble

Here's a look at the wide receiver position for the Seattle Seahawks heading into training camp:

Locks: Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson

Baldwin and Kearse are the starters. Lockett, the rookie from Kansas State, likely will return punts and kickoffs this season. Richardson, a rookie last season who played well toward the end of the year, may start the season on injured reserve, depending on how quickly he recovers from ACL surgery. But he was running well on his own during offseason workouts.

Likely: Chris Matthews, Ricardo Lockette

Matthews had his coming-out party in the biggest stage with a remarkable performance in the Super Bowl (four receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown) to show his capabilities as the team's big-body receiver at 6-5, 220-pounds. Now imagine lining up Matthews and tight end Jimmy Graham (6-7, 270) both as wideouts on the same play. Lockette is an excellent special teams player with great speed but was on the wrong end of history on the fateful interceptions at the end of Super Bowl XLIX.

On the bubble: Kevin Norwood

The 2014 rookie out of Alabama needs to step up to find a place on the 53-man roster. He missed seven games last year with injuries and finished with only nine receptions.

Longshots: Kasen Williams, Kevin Smith, B.J. Daniels, Deshon Foxx, Douglas McNeil III

Look for Williams, the talented rookie from Washington, to start the year on the practice squad. It we be tough for Daniels now that the Seahawks have determined he isn't a quarterback and they have Lockett as the return man. Foxx, McNeil and Smith would have to really stand out in the preseason to find a spot.
