Fights break out as 49ers get feisty

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers' latest camp practice (that started at 8 p.m. ET) became their most intense toward the end of the workout when the first scraps of camp broke out.

The biggest firework came when respected leader Anquan Boldin and young cornerback Darryl Morris went at it after a pass play to Boldin.

Boldin threw the ball at Morris after the play and the team had a brief scuffle. Coach Jim Harbaugh and tight end Vernon Davis broke up the fight. Practice ended two plays later.

Harbaugh walked Boldin off the field and sent him into the locker room. Harbaugh often takes that approach.

Shortly before that fight, linebacker Chase Thomas and running back Jewel Hampton pushed and shoved each other and had to be separated. The 49ers have a day off Saturday.
