NFL Nation TV talks Rays (Rice and McDonald)

Join us today at 1 p.m. ET, 10 a.m. PT for NFL Nation TV’s Spreecast 57 as it addresses the latest goings-on in the league, from Ray Rice being reinstated to Ray McDonald being released to organized team activities ramping up across the NFL.

Host Paul Gutierrez (San Francisco 49ers reporter) and co-hosts Coley Harvey (Cincinnati Bengals reporter) and Mike Wells (Indianapolis Colts reporter) will be joined by five other NFL Nation reporters in the show.

Mike Rodak (Buffalo Bills reporter) will stop by to talk about defensive tackle Marcel Dareus’ one-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, and how it might affect the Bills, who open the season at home against the Colts. Todd Archer (Dallas Cowboys reporter) will discuss whether the Cowboys should be interested in signing running back Rice, especially after a whirlwind offseason that saw them sign and draft what many saw as several character risks.

Then, Rich Cimini (New York Jets reporter) will offer his take on Geno Smith being tabbed the team’s starting quarterback before Jeff Dickerson (Chicago Bears reporter) will give an update on the Bears’ mood after they cut McDonald Monday following his third arrest on domestic violence issues since Labor Day.

Finally, Mike Reiss (New England Patriots reporter) checks in with fallout from Deflategate, as well as offering his opinion on whether the Patriots might be interested in Rice.

Viewers are encouraged to log in and ask the panelists questions as well as contribute in the chat feature.
