49ers status report: RT Anthony Davis ruled out again

While defensive lineman Justin Smith was upgraded from not practicing on Tuesday to going in a limited capacity on Wednesday, the San Francisco 49ers added fellow defensive end Ray McDonald to their injury report with a knee issue.

Both starters, though, were listed as being probable to play Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks.

The 49ers could be thin at tight end with Derek Carrier out, along with right tackle Anthony Davis and nose tackle Glenn Dorsey, and Vance McDonald being questionable to play after being limited in practice all week.

It will be the second straight game Davis will miss with the head injury as he had only played in five games this season. It will be the seventh start at right tackle for Jonathan Martin.

Following is the 49ers' status report for Thursday's game against the Seahawks:

OUT: TE Derek Carrier (foot), RT Anthony Davis (concussion), NT Glenn Dorsey (forearm)

QUESTIONABLE: CB Tramaine Brock (hamstring), WR/KR Bruce Ellington (ankle), TE Vance McDonald (back)

PROBABLE: RB Frank Gore (knee), WR Brandon Lloyd (quadricep), DE Ray McDonald (knee), FB Bruce Miller (shoulder), S Eric Reid (ankle), DE Justin Smith (back), S Raymond Vetrone (groin)
