Could Victor Cruz bust out his trademark salsa dance in front of the world on Super Bowl Sunday?

Not only will the New York Giants Pro Bowl wide receiver be in the building in New Orleans, but he's been connected to Roc Nation, the company founded by Jay-Z, whose wife, Beyonce, will be leading the halftime show.

"You never know," Cruz said. "You never know."

But what Cruz could confirm is that he'll be featured in a new Pepsi commercial that will air right before Beyonce's performance. The commercial will alert viewers to pay attention to a scrolling digital photo gallery of pro athletes and celebrities shown in the Superdome during halftime, and then to go to pepsi.com/halftime to name six of them.

Those who guess at least three right will be entered into a chance to win an all-access trip to next year's Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium and hang out on the field during the game.

The photo gallery, by the way, is the first crowd-sourced intro to the halftime show, which is sponsored by Pepsi. More than 100,000 fans submitted their photos via the Pepsi hashtag #PepsiHalftime, and 50 of them will be dispersed among the athlete and celeb pictures.

Speaking with ESPN Playbook on Friday, Cruz discussed the commercial, his time in New Orleans, prediction for the game and much more.

What kinds of things have you been doing in New Orleans?

Different TV spots, with different brands and whatnot, and doing the radio stuff, interviews, so it's been fun.

When you do those TV spots, do you think you'd like to do more of that down the road?

I would love to do some more TV down the road. It's always fun to do stuff like that.

What's been the coolest part down there so far?

Obviously the parties. The Madden Bowl was fun last night. I got to play some "Madden," even though I lost in the first round. But it was definitely fun to play and be around some of the guys.

Anything about the setup and environment in New Orleans that's caught you by surprise?

I just love all the culture that's down here, man. There's food on every corner. Everything's so close together in New Orleans. It's just been a fun time so far, man. It's been a good time overall.

As far as the food, where have you checked out?

So far, I've been to Mother's twice. They have a great breakfast, so that's kind of been my second home in town a little bit. It's a famous breakfast spot here in New Orleans.

So tell me about this Pepsi commercial you're in.

It's just a shot of all the guys that they sponsor, just highlighting the people that are part of the Pepsi brand. It's just a shot highlighting myself and a bunch of other people that are involved with Pepsi as well. In the past, I've done something called the "Viva Hoy" campaign, and it kind of chronicles going through my day-to-day at the barbershop. You can check that out online. Before that was the Pepsi "NFL Anthems" campaign that ran kind of throughout the season. Travie McCoy came up with the song and anthem for the Giants, and for New York City. It ran in our stadium and stuff like that all year long, so it was good.

Are you going to be at the game on Sunday?

I'll be in a suite watching the game and I think it's going to be a good game. They're two really good teams that are involved in it, and I'm really happy for them. So I'm excited to see a really good game this Sunday.

How about some salsa dancing during the halftime show?

Nah, I don't think so, man. We'll see what happens, though.

So there could be some surprises?

You never know, you never know.

Looking back on your first Super Bowl last year, what are some of your top memories?

Just the memories of the times I spent with the teammates, man, because everybody is excited playing in the Super Bowl, everybody's geared up for it. It's just a fun time, man, and it's a good time to share with your teammates -- stuff that you're never going to forget; stuff that goes down in history. So it's definitely fun to be a part of it, and those moments shared with my teammates are definitely ones I'll never forget.

Any advice for a new guy this year?

Yeah, just don't worry about the outside aspect, don't worry about parties, don't worry about any of that stuff because after you win this game, you're going to have all the parties in the world. You're going to be able to party as much as you want, however many times you want. So just focus on the game at hand and focus individually on doing your job to help your team succeed.

What's your prediction for the game?

I'm going Niners, man, winning 17-10. I think it's going to be a low-scoring game, but it's definitely going to be a good one nonetheless.

It's crazy to see both brothers facing off.

Yeah, yeah, it's pretty crazy. It's kind of like, who do you want to win? One brother is going to have to lose. It's just a crazy feeling.

Do you have any friends on either team you've been keeping in touch with?

I'm close with Ray Lewis, I'm close with James Ihedigbo. We went to college together [at UMass]. I'm close with Michael Crabtree; he's a good friend. I'm close with a lot of these different guys. So it's going to be fun to watch.

What is Ray Lewis' lasting legacy to you?

I think he's a great player, man. I've watched him all my career. I think he's done a great job, man, on the field as well as off it. He's a great person, man. I think it's a true testament to him and his longevity in this league to be able to play so long, and play at a high level. So I'm extremely happy for him and I think he's done a good job representing the NFL.

As far as your situation with the Giants, what's the latest?

Hopefully we get something together and create a long-term deal that keeps me in New York for a while. That's all I'm focused on. That's all I want. I feel like I've done enough to prove to the front office that I'm worthy of being in a blue uniform for a very long time. Hopefully they see it the same way. Nothing is coming up just yet. We're still negotiating. We're still talking back and forth.

How can your team improve this offseason?

Obviously, we have to get better. We have to find places. First and foremost, I think we got some guys in places right now that can do their job. We have a lot of free agents, so we've got to make some decisions. But I think obviously with the offensive line, we can probably use more guys, and definitely at defensive back and linebacker. Those are two areas where we need to address. So we'll see how that goes. Hopefully we have a good, solid draft.

I'm sure you're thinking about next year's big game in your backyard at MetLife Stadium.

Yeah, I'm excited about that, man. I think it's going to provide a lot of motivation for us to be there next year, and hopefully we can come through and do that.
