Bell, Blount will play against Eagles

PHILADELPHIA -- The Pittsburgh Steelers confirmed that embattled running backs Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount will play in the team's third preseason game tonight at Lincoln Financial Field.

Bell and Blount were each charged with marijuana possession on Wednesday but they could see extensive action against the Philadelphia Eagles with the regulars expected to play at least a half.

Blount was on the field an hour before the game warming up with some other Steelers' players.  Bell joined Blount and the running backs a couple of minutes later.

The Steelers will also have their starting defense tonight with outside linebacker Jarvis Jones slated to play after missing the second preseason game because of a groin injury.

Defensive end Brett Keisel, who re-signed with the Steelers on Wednesday, will also dress tonight though it is not clear how much the 13th-year veteran will play if at all.

Players who are out tonight because of injuries include fullback Will Johnson (hamstring), safety Will Allen (hamstring), center Cody Wallace (finger), cornerback Shaquille Richardson (knee), linebacker Jordan Zumwalt (groin), tight end Eric Waters (concussion), running back Tauren Poole (hamstring), long snapper Greg Warren (knee) and cornerback Devin Smith (hamstring).

Veteran wide receiver Lance Moore will not dress for an undisclosed reason.
