Michael Vick provides spark on day the Steelers desperately needed one

Let's thank Michael Vick for giving Steelers fans something worth watching against Buffalo.

Ben Roethlisberger attempted four passes and left the game, and defensive backs are still chasing Bills players to the end zone. The game ended nearly an hour ago.

On a day nothing went right, Vick (4-of-5, 106 yards) was a nice story, especially the way he opened the game with a 63-yarder to Martavis Bryant in front of Bills coach Rex Ryan, who said Vick can't play in the cold.

Vick could have capped the day perfectly with a score, but he took a sack within scoring range on his first drive. Still, this is an encouraging start for Roethlisberger's backup.

Vick's arm looked live, with the throw to Bryant reminding why he's been in the league so long. Wonder if Ryan now wonders if he should have added Vick to his confusing quarterback puzzle. That would have been fun.
