Pittsburgh Steelers' comeback cited by NFL

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers won the NFL's GMAC Never Say Never Moment of the Week after erasing a double-digit deficit on the way to a 27-24 win over the Tennessee Titans last Monday night.

The Steelers were trailing 24-13 in the third quarter when running back Le'Veon Bell and the offensive line took over the game.

Bell rushed for 132 of his career-high 204 yards in the second half and added a touchdown to power Pittsburgh to its seventh win of the season.

The Steelers squandered an early 10-0 lead before recovering to beat the upset-minded Titans.

“We started off hot in that Tennessee game, we’ve just got to stay consistent,” veteran cornerback Ike Taylor said. “There can’t be any ebb and flow. We know sometimes teams are going to catch momentum but if we start fast we’ve got to finish fast. Since I’ve been (here) that’s the way we’ve played. For some odd reason we always give each other heart attacks on the sidelines.”

Taylor said it did not surprise him that Bell, who is second in the NFL with 951 rushing yards, had a career game during an unusually cold night in Nashville.

"I told him a couple of weeks ago he’s a November-December back,” Taylor said. “Around that fourth quarter ain’t too many people that want to hit you at 220 (pounds). Not too many guys want to come down after down and hit you.”
