Chip Kelly among NFL's most influential

There are influential figures in the NFL on and off the field.

CBSSports.com's Pat Kirwan put together a fascinating list of the top 10 most influential people "who impact the game."

Kirwan placed Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly at No. 5.

“He's incorporated a new faster tempo for the game to be played, as well as innovative ways to train and utilize nutrition,” Kirwan wrote. “With no previous NFL coaching experience he led the Eagles to the division title in his first year.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell topped Kirwan's list, followed by NFL VP of officiating Dean Blandino, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Judge Anita Brody, who is overseeing the NFL's issues in the concussion settlement. Kirwan wrote that Brody “approved a landmark deal that would compensate thousands of former players for health-related issues.”

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was sixth, league scheduling exec Howard Katz came in seventh followed by NFL director of football operations Troy Vincent (eighth), Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (ninth) and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (10th).
