Dates, times set for Eagles' preseason

The Philadelphia Eagles announced their preseason schedule last week.

At that time, the dates and times weren’t complete. Now they are.

The Eagles will open the preseason Aug. 8 against the Chicago Bears at 8 p.m. ET at Soldier Field.

One week later on Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Eagles will travel to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., to face the New England Patriots. The Eagles and Patriots held joint practices in Philadelphia last summer before their preseason game, and there’s a possibility it could take place in New England this time around.

Philadelphia will make its preseason debut at Lincoln Financial Field on Aug. 21 when the Pittsburgh Steelers visit at 7:30 p.m. ET.

On Aug. 28, the Eagles will close out their preseason slate with a game against the New York Jets at 7 p.m. ET. These two teams have met every preseason since 2001 and Jets quarterback Michael Vick could be facing his former team.
