After Stanford beat California in the Big Game last November, we assumed that the rivalry was turning the page to its next set of quarterbacks.
Not so fast.
The Cardinal's Kevin Hogan and the Golden Bears' Jared Goff may both be ready for next week's NFL draft, but a funny coincidence has them at the very same location on Monday evening: San Francisco's AT&T Park, home of Major League Baseball's Giants, located in between their Berkeley and Stanford campuses.
Goff was spotted watching batting practice on the field late this afternoon:
Of course, as irony would have it, the former Cal quarterback's appearance coincides with Stanford night at the ballpark. We're guessing Goff won't accept the hybrid Stanford-Giants hat that's being offered as a giveaway to some fans, but he will have to watch Hogan and Cardinal coach David Shaw throw out the first pitch.Jared Goff in the building tonight #SFGiants vs #Dbacks pic.twitter.com/VQfEoqX7tj

So, two old rivals will meet again, for the last time in the Bay Area before their college graduations -- on a baseball field this time. By the way, Cal night at the ballpark is Tuesday, so Goff may also have his chance to take the mound soon.Stanford night at @ATT Park, let's go @SFGiants! #BayOfChampions #WeAreGiant #ATTPark pic.twitter.com/AUYoTBKQq1
