It's unusual for a kicker to go high in the NFL draft.
Roberto Aguayo went high (in the second round). Some thought too high. And some thought the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave up too much by trading up to pick him.
Those who questioned the choice shared their criticism, often on social media.
One NFL GM said Tampa drafting Aguayo was the dumbest pick in draft history. Jacksonville once drafted a punter over @DangeRussWilson.

Aguayo has his backers, though, including last year's first choice in the draft. Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston expects his former college teammate to prove the doubters wrong.
