Derek Carr by the numbers

Oakland Raiders rookie quarterback Derek Carr started every game this season and produced well. Here are some key numbers he put up in his first NFL season:

  • He has thrown the second-most completions (348) by a rookie in NFL history, passing Andrew Luck (339).

  • Carr finished the season with 3,270 passing yards, ranking 10th all time among rookie quarterbacks.

  • Carr threw 21 touchdowns, tied for the fifth most by an NFL rookie. Carr was the fourth rookie to finish a season with at least 20 touchdown passes and 12 or fewer interceptions (Russell Wilson, Robert Griffin III and Dan Marino).

  • Carr was the 14th quarterback since the NFL expanded to a 16-game season in 1978 to start every game in his rookie campaign.
