Raiders finalize exhibition schedule

The Oakland Raiders have finalized their preseason schedule, meaning we also now know when they will begin training camp in Napa, Calif.

Oakland announced Friday it will open its preseason schedule on Aug. 8 at the Minnesota Vikings at 8 p.m. ET. Since teams can begin camp 15 days before their first exhibition game, the Raiders should begin camp on July 24.

The Raiders' second exhibition game will be in Oakland against the Detroit Lions on Aug. 15 with kickoff at 10 p.m. ET.

Oakland will then travel to the Green Bay Packers for Week 3 of the preseason, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.

The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks close out the Raiders' exhibition schedule on Aug. 28 at 10 p.m. ET.

Oakland's regular season schedule will be announced later. Opponents and location are already known, though, as the Raiders play host to the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins (in London on Sept. 28). The Raiders play at the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Rams, Seattle and the Chargers, Broncos and Chiefs.
