New coaches always keeping Raiders on their toes

The Oakland Raiders should be eating their cereal and sipping their juice right about now, as they prepare to start their first full training camp practice, kicking off the 2015 season.

Don’t, however, expect that team’s last meal before training camp to be a peaceful one. Not if the early stages of the Jack Del Rio tenure has been any indication.

Second-year cornerback TJ Carrie said this new staff is always in overdrive, yes even during meal time.

“From getting breakfast in the morning, the energy is always there,” Carrie said. “It’s fun when you have an electrifying group of staff who are willing to definitely put it all on the line each and every moment and timeframe when you walk into that building. So you feed off of that energy. Them yelling and screaming at you at breakfast is something that you definitely get used to and accustomed to.”

What is the breakfast-time noise like?

“We might have 10 minutes left of breakfast to eat, and they’re coming in there giving us three minutes left,” Carrie said. “They’re yelling, ‘You had all morning to eat breakfast, it’s time to work.’ Just little antics like that is something you enjoy and you have fun and you’re excited to go to work each and every day.”
