Position: Linebacker, Florida

Round: Round 5, No. 161 overall

Earliest he could have big role: 2016 season

Why is there an opportunity? The Raiders are looking for young players to develop at linebacker. The idea is for Oakland to develop as many young, talented players as possible.

Who is in his way? Ben Heeney, Ray-Ray Armstrong. Heeney is likely making the team. Ball may have to beat out Armstrong.

Current thoughts: Ball has had some injury issues, including a knee problem late last season. He needs to stay healthy in training camp to make the 53-man roster. He is probably more of developmental player. I’d be surprised if he made a major impact in 2015.
