Notre Dame sees seven players drafted, six more sign

Ronnie Stanley became Notre Dame’s first top-10 NFL draft pick in 21 years Thursday, and he and Will Fuller set the stage for a weekend that was kind to former Irish players.

Notre Dame saw seven players drafted in all and another six join NFL clubs afterward as free agents, two years after the program saw eight players get taken in the 2014 draft.

Here’s a recap of who went where this weekend as recent college students saw their lives change forever:

T Ronnie Stanley: Round 1, No. 6 overall to the Baltimore Ravens

WR Will Fuller: Round 1, No. 21 overall to the Houston Texans

LB Jaylon Smith: Round 2, No. 34 overall to the Dallas Cowboys

OL Nick Martin: Round 2, No. 50 overall to the Houston Texans

DB KeiVarae Russell: Round 3, No. 74 overall to the Kansas City Chiefs

RB C.J. Prosise: Round 3, No. 90 overall to the Seattle Seahawks

DT Sheldon Day: Round 4, No. 103 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars
