Red Wings' wish list

Although a deal (or two) is far from a sure thing, the Detroit Red Wings are entertaining options of adding a piece (or two) ahead of Monday’s trade deadline. Ideally, GM Ken Holland would like to acquire "a skilled right-handed shooting defenseman or a big, gritty winger." For a reasonable price, of course.

Ansar Khan of MLive.com suggests veteran forward Erik Cole of the Dallas Stars is a suitable option. On the blue-line front, Jeff Petry (Edmonton Oilers), Zbynek Michalek (Arizona Coyotes) and Marek Zidlicky (New Jersey Devils) are potential targets. Outside of those possibilities, Buffalo Sabres forward Chris Stewart might be a good fit.

Holland says he’s willing to part ways a second-round draft pick for the right piece, but hedges at offering much more.
