ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Here's a quick look at the Anaheim Ducks' 2-1 victory against the Winnipeg Jets in Game 2 at Honda Center on Saturday.

How it happened: Jakob Silfverberg scored the winner with 21 seconds left in regulation to give Anaheim a 2-1 win. The goal came after Patrick Maroon's tip of a Cam Fowler point shot had tied the score 10:43 into the third period while Andrew Ladd served a high-sticking penalty.

Adam Pardy opened the scoring for Winnipeg when he beat Frederik Andersen on a wraparound with 4:17 left in the second period. The goal gave Pardy, who sat out Game 1 as a healthy scratch, his first career playoff goal as well as his first goal since Jan. 26, 2011. The goal was assisted by Mathieu Perreault, who returned to the lineup after dealing with a lower-body injury.

What it means: With the win, Anaheim takes a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Player of the game: Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec was outstanding in a losing effort and set the tone early when he made 17 saves in the first period to keep the game scoreless after 20 minutes. That's the most stops for the Czech keeper in one period since he stopped 20 in the first period of a 5-2 win against the Montreal Canadiens on March 26. That stout play in net by Pavelec set the tone for the Jets, who played tighter defensively from that point but weren't able to shut down the Ducks in the third. Pavelec finished with 37 saves.

Stat of the game: Anaheim outshot Winnipeg 17-8 in the third period. That disparity allowed the Ducks to take over the game after trailing 1-0 through 40 minutes.

What's next?: The teams leave Southern California and venture to Winnipeg, where they'll play Game 3 at MTS Centre on Monday. It will be the first playoff game in Winnipeg since April 28, 1996. Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba was 2 years old the last time his team hosted a game in the postseason.
