There have been recent reports about the Anaheim Ducks talking to the Buffalo Sabres about Tyler Myers, but it doesn’t sound like there’s much there.
"The last time I talked to [Sabres GM] Tim Murray was at the GMs meeting in November. I have not had a discussion with him since," Ducks general manager Bob Murray told ESPN.com on Tuesday.
My sense is that if Murray makes a move before the March 2 trade deadline, he would look for a more physical, aggressive type of blueliner.
The Ducks had a 12-point lead atop the Pacific Division standings entering Tuesday night but are one point behind Nashville for the top spot in the Western Conference.
