Wide receiver is considered a potential draft need for the Buffalo Bills, but could they also dip into the free-agent pool at the position?

That possibility came onto the radar Thursday evening, when FoxSports.com's Alex Marvez reported that the Bills were among the teams interested in Britt, and that he may take a visit to Buffalo.

Britt's agent Pat Dye, via Marvez, said that Britt will likely sign a short-term deal and is looking for playing time.

The Carolina Panthers also are among teams currently expressing interest, while Britt recently visited with the New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams, and Washington Redskins.

Britt is among the more notable names remaining on the market, although he has faced knee injuries as well as off-field troubles in five seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

Britt was a first-round pick of the Titans in 2009. He played in 12 games last season and was limited to 96 yards on 11 catches. His best season came in 2010, when he caught 42 passes for 775 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Bills have no shortage of bodies at wide receiver but could be in need of an upgrade. Stevie Johnson remains atop the depth chart but is coming off an injury-plagued season. The Bills are looking for Robert Woods to take the next step after a strong rookie campaign.

Beyond that, Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham both offer a dose of speed but both need to prove they are more complete, all-around receivers. Goodwin showed flashes last season and his roster spot is secure; Graham could be fighting for a role in training camp.
