Strength of schedule: Green Bay Packers

When the NFL releases its schedule each April, Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy usually looks first at how many regular seven-day weeks he will have to prepare his team.

He prefers to keep things on a normal schedule. Games on Monday or Thursday nights throw that off.

So McCarthy likely won't be bothered or concerned that his team in 2014 will play the 13th-toughest schedule in the NFL based on opponents' records from last season. The Packers' 2014 opponents had a combined winning percentage of. 504 last season.

The eight teams that come to Lambeau Field combined for a .520 winning percentage last season, giving the Packers the 11th-toughest home schedule. Their eight road opponents combined for a .488 winning percentage last season, giving the Packers the 15th-toughest road schedule.

In addition to their six games against the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North, the Packers play the AFC East and NFC South in 2014. From those divisions, they have the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers at home. On the road, they have the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Their two games that are based on where they finished (first in the NFC North) are at home against the NFC East champion Philadelphia Eagles and on the road at the NFC West and Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
