Ndamukong Suh's kick: Intentional?

So I've spent the past 30 minutes or so looking at screen captures, GIFs and finally the official NFL.com video of the contact that occurred between Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the first quarter Thursday at Ford Field.

I've also heard from plenty of you on whether Suh intentionally kicked Schaub in the groin. My own view is that Suh deserves to be questioned and scrutinized for the play, but I have to stop short of reading his mind to know what he meant to do.

You can watch the video here for yourself. You'll see Suh run over Texans offensive lineman Derek Newton and fall on his right side as he approached Schaub. Suh's left leg swung wide toward Schaub as he fell. It clutched back, then extended enough for Suh's left foot to hit Schaub in an area where, uh, the sun don't shine.

Schaub immediately dropped both hands to protect himself before toppling over.

After looking at the play dozens of times, you can reasonably theorize that Suh's second jab toward Schaub was at least unnatural and at worst intentional. But the fact that it took dozens of views to feel comfortable saying that gives me caution about dramatic conclusions. It was nowhere close to as blatant, for example, as the play -- exactly one Thanksgiving Day ago when Suh stomped the arm of Green Bay Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith.

Your reactions were all over the map. @Firstpickblog tweeted: "There is no way anyone could think that was intentional." @kwolv35 noted that Suh never turned to look at Schaub after rolling over, implying there was no malice in the act. @jasonDamour called it "extremely sneaky deliberate," and @logicalopinions tweeted: "You can see a clear extension of the leg/foot into the groin. Your leg doesn't do that naturally when you fall."

Something tells me we'll be circling back on this issue once or twice.
