So who will it be: Juan Lagares, Billy Hamilton or Denard Span? Noah K. Murray/USA TODAY Sports

NEW YORK -- Juan Lagares is one of three finalists for the NL Gold Glove in center field, Rawlings announced Thursday. The other contenders: Billy Hamilton and Denard Span.

Winners will be announced Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The award is 75 percent based on input from NL managers and coaches and 25 percent based on defensive metrics.

As many as seven personnel per team may vote for the award, but voters are prohibited from selecting someone from their own team.

Lagares is the lone Mets finalist at his position.

Only two Mets outfielders have won a Gold Glove Award in franchise history: Tommie Agee (1970) and Carlos Beltran (2006-08).
