Tuesday's Mets-A's lineups

Here are the lineups as the Mets face the Oakland Athletics at 10:05 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Ruben Tejada plays second base for the first time since Sept. 28, 2011 -- when Jose Reyes was the shortstop. Terry Collins has acknowledged Tejada profiles as a backup middle infielder, so the Mets appear to be taking a look at him for that role as Daniel Murphy gets a day off.

Collins recently had indicated that if Wilmer Flores and Tejada were in the lineup together, Flores would be the one playing second base. Instead, this will be Tejada's 100th career major league start at second base. The Mets initially listed Tejada at second base and Flores at shortstop, then flipped them. Murphy is still off.
