MILWAUKEE -- Wilmer Flores is back for his third stint with the Mets this season. This time it’s due to the injury to Ruben Tejada, who was beaned in Wednesday’s 3-2 win over the Mariners in Seattle.

The problem for Flores is that Tejada should be back in the lineup Friday night. That means he goes to the bench or spells Daniel Murphy at second or David Wright at third.

Flores said that he can make it work.

“I’ll just have to find a way,” said Flores, who went 1-for-3 in Thursday's 9-1 loss to Milwaukee. “I’ll have to find a way. If I’m playing everyday, OK. If I’m not, I mean, I’m just going to get used to it and try to find a way to be ready.”

But he added, something every ballplayer knows.

“Playing everyday, being out there everyday is so much easier,” he said.

He was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas, while outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis was optioned to Las Vegas.

Flores, 22, was with the Mets from May 8-June 25 and from April 2-6 earlier this season. He hit .225 (18-80) with three doubles, one home run and seven RBI in 25 games in the previous two stretches.
