LEHIGH VALLEY 5, BUFFALO 2: Zack Wheeler surrendered five runs on eight hits, including a solo homer to Sebastian Valle, while striking out eight and walking none in five innings. Wheeler now has a 4.60 ERA through three Triple-A starts. Justin Hampson and Garrett Olson combined for four scoreless relief innings. Lucas May and Lucas Duda contributed a sacrifice flies in consecutive innings. Brad Emaus and Fred Lewis scored, both after doubling. Box

NEW HAMPSHIRE 5, BINGHAMTON 2: New Hampshire's John Tolisano launched a tiebreaking three-run homer off Greg Peavey in the fourth inning and the B-Mets stranded 10 runners. Binghamton struck first, plating a run in the second inning against starter Fernando Hernandez. Jefry Marte reached on a one-out walk, took second on a passed ball, advanced on a single and scored when Wilfredo Tovar beat out a double play. The Fisher Cats tagged Peavey for four runs in the fourth. After Jake Marisnick’s leadoff single, Brad Glenn tied the score with a double. Ryan Goins then singled to set the stage for Tolisano, who blasted a 1-0 pitch over the right-field fence. Binghamton threatened, placing two runners aboard in the fourth and sixth, but failed to score in either frame. Sean Ochinko extended the Fisher Cats' lead with a solo homer in the sixth. Binghamton’s struggles with runners on base continued in the seventh. Ronald Uviedo allowed a pair to reach, but struck out Eric Campbell to end the inning. The B-Mets plated their final run in the eighth. Uviedo departed after issuing a leadoff a walk to Raul Reyes. After Marte greeted reliever Chorye Spoone with a single, Francisco Pena rolled into a double play that left Marte as the surviving runner at second. Tovar brought him home with a single. TRI-CITY 4, BROOKLYN 2: With three Cyclones starting pitchers having appeared in Tuesday's New York-Penn League All-Star Game, Brooklyn leaned on its relief corps. Matt Bowman made his first professional start and tossed four scoreless innings, allowing one hit and a walk while striking out two. Tri-City starter Lance Day matched Bowman until the fifth, when Brooklyn opened the scoring. Jeff Glenn doubled and moved to third on Juan Gamboa's groundout. Dimas Ponce then singled to plate Glenn. Matt Koch replaced Bowman and found himself in a fifth-inning jam. M.P. Cokinos and Jean Batista connected on back-to-back hits that put two in scoring position with one out. After Dan Gubransen's sacrifice fly, Emilio King launched a two-run homer to put Tri-City ahead, 3-1. Brooklyn answered a half-inning later, after a fielding error and a walk put a pair of runners aboard. Kevin Plawecki singled to score Phillip Evans and slice Brooklyn's deficit to one run. In the seventh, the ValleyCats restored a two-run lead, although Logan Taylor limited the damage. After entering with the bases loaded and nobody out, Taylor induced a sacrifice fly and a double play to hold the deficit to 4-2. In the eighth, Jayce Boyd doubled and Plawecki singled, but Stefan Sabol and Glenn struck out to end the threat. Box
