WASHINGTON -- A Mets staffer accidentally emailed to nearly the entire New York press corps the credit card info, including security code and expiration date, of the team's general manager.
The email had been intended for a Broadway connection capable of securing tickets for a weekend show.
A second email went out minutes later reading: "Please disregard the previous email. Sorry for any confusion."
That didn't halt a few media comedians from weighing in, via Twitter or otherwise, including:
Mets accidentally sent out a group e-mail with Alderson's credit card info ... I just called Boras and bought the Mets a new SS.

Meanwhile, as leaks of sensitive info go, this innocent error is relatively mild. A Mets staffer once tweeted a check with the bank routing number visible for The Mets Foundation charity account.
