Injury report: Canty re-injures knee

BALTIMORE -- Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty has re-injured the knee that caused him to miss the first six games of the season.

"It's been better," said a despondent Canty after the game. "We have to go and get it looked at, and we will see what's what."

Canty was one of the few Giants who played well Sunday against the Ravens, with six tackles, including two tackles for loss.

"I don't know exactly what it is," said Coughlin. "It's a knee and he wasn't able to go back. Chris Canty was playing hard and he made some plays for us."

Reserve defensive tackle Marvin Austin also suffered a knee injury in the game -- we'll have to wait and see what his status is for next week as well.

Defensive end Justin Tuck (shoulder) and safety Kenny Phillips (knee) were both inactive against the Ravens. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw played after missing last week's game against the Falcons, but had just 39 yards on nine carries.

"It took a lot," said Bradshaw. "I can bear with pain, and I seemed to deal with it OK today. I’ll do anything to help my brothers."

Cornerback Prince Amukamara also returned, after missing last week's game with a hamstring injury. But he did not start, and played sparingly.

Right guard Chris Snee, who missed practice time this week with a hip injury, played against the Ravens, but had a rough day. Snee was flagged for a holding penalty and a false start, and was blown by on a sack by Haloti Ngata.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, who has been playing through a knee injury all season, was held without a reception for the first time in his NFL career.
