Draft preview: Knicks could get consolation prize in Mudiay

With the fourth pick in the NBA Draft, the New York Knicks will likely miss out on the player they most coveted – Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns. But they still could end up with a pretty good prospect.

According to ESPN Insider Chad Ford’s latest mock draft Insider, the Knicks will end up with point guard Emmanuel Mudiay.

Ford believes Mudiay is a “terrific consolation prize” for New York.

“He's strong, attacks the basket, plays on both ends and has unique maturity for his age to handle the bright lights of NYC,” Ford writes.

Other players who will be available when the Knicks pick include Duke’s Justise Winslow and European forward Kristaps Porzingis.
