Jets promote female exec to director of football administration

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets have promoted Jacqueline Davidson, their lead negotiator for player contracts, to director of football administration, the team announced Saturday.

Davidson will replace Rod Graves, who was the Jets' senior director of football administration under previous general manager Mike Maccagnan. Graves recently accepted a job in the NFL office.

"Jackie has served as an integral part of our football administration efforts under Rod Graves this offseason," Maccagnan said. "She's bright and talented and she has earned this opportunity."

Davidson is in her ninth season with the Jets and the NFL. She handles player negotiations and salary-cap management. In March, she added an unusual twist in the Darrelle Revis contract.
