Jets injury report: Muhammad Wilkerson to miss Monday's game

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -– New York Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson said he won’t have to undergo surgery on his left toe, but will not play on Monday when the Jets host Miami at MetLife Stadium.

Wilkerson said he had to balance his desire to play with doing what's best for his body so he could heal from a case of turf toe. He will miss the first game of his professional or college career this weekend.

“It’s a little weird, but I’m going to do my best to support my teammates,” Wilkerson said.

Jets coach Rex Ryan also confirmed that tight end Jace Amaro has a concussion.

Michael Vick missed practice with an illness. The full injury report for the Jets and Dolphins:
