Practice Report: No Michael Vick, Muhammad Wilkerson or Jace Amaro

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- A short holiday week with back-to-back Monday night games just got a little more unusual when New York Jets backup quarterback Michael Vick missed practice for an illness. Vick had been the team’s starter, albeit briefly, until deposed by Geno Smith last week after a loss to the Bills in Detroit.

Vick is at the Jets facility, but wasn’t on the field. On Thanksgiving day, Vick posted a photograph of himself cooking to his verified Twitter account.

Defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson (toe) and tight end Jace Amaro (concussion) were also completely out for practice. Yesterday’s injury report cleared up the uncertainty Rex Ryan expressed about whether or not Amaro’s injury was formally a concussion or a head injury.

This was the second straight practice Wilkerson and Amaro missed. The players did not practice on Thursday.

Defensive linemen Leger Douzable and Sheldon Richardson spent some time in the rehab area.
