Hopefully for Antonio Cromartie, he won't make a wrong turn when he arrives at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

After spending four seasons with the New York Jets, the Pro Bowl cornerback returns with the Arizona Cardinals for a game against the New York Giants.

"What's gonna be the weirdest thing is going to the visitor's locker room and not going to my normal locker spot," he said on Thursday during an appearance on "The Michael Kay Show" on ESPN New York 98.7 FM.

Cromartie spoke glowingly about his time spent playing under Jets coach Rex Ryan, saying, "I thank him for the opportunity for everything, refurbishing my career."

The Jets released Cromartie in a cost-cutting move in March. He signed with the Cardinals 10 days later.

On Sunday, Cromartie's new team brings one of the NFL's best defenses to face one of the worst offenses. The Cardinals finished 10-6 last season thanks to the sixth-ranked defense in the league. The Giants, meanwhile, finished 28th in the league offensively and missed the playoffs. Quarterback Eli Manning, a two-time Super Bowl MVP, suffered through the worst season of his career.

The Giants' offense looked no better in the preseason and the season opener against Detroit, but Cromartie isn't putting a lot of value in that. "I think they still have a great group of core guys there that can still go out and make plays," he said of the Giants. "Eli is gonna be Eli. I think he still can go out and make all the throws."

"You have a guy like Victor Cruz you have to keep an eye on to make sure he's not getting loose," Cromartie added, "because he's one of those guys that can be a game-changer."

Cruz eluded Cromartie, Kyle Wilson and Eric Smith while on his way to a 99-yard touchdown on Christmas Eve in 2011. That propelled the Giants toward a 29-14 victory against the Jets, starting a six-game winning streak that ended with a victory in Super Bowl XLVI.
