Giants face offensive line questions for Sunday's game in Washington

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Justin Pugh's concussion symptoms continue to linger and Weston Richburg's high ankle sprain will limit him in practice this week, which means the New York Giants could be without 40 percent of their starting offensive line for Sunday's game in Washington.

Pugh, the starting left guard who missed the Week 10 game against the Patriots with concussion symptoms, still hasn't been cleared to even attend practice, let alone participate. Asked if Pugh had improved, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said, "I think very little."

Pugh is taking steps to complete the league-mandated concussion protocol before he's cleared to return to the field, and it seems unlikely he could be cleared in the next few days. John Jerry would start a second straight game in his place if he can't play.

Richburg, the Giants' starting center, was actually listed as a limited practice participate Wednesday, though he didn't do very much. He hopes to be able to play Sunday, but the way his ankle responds to the work he did Wednesday will tell a good bit of the tale there. Dallas Reynolds would take his place in the starting lineup.

In positive injury news, cornerback Prince Amukamara (pec) and defensive end Damontre Moore (hamstring) were listed as full practice participants Wednesday, and linebacker J.T. Thomas was listed as a limited one. Thomas has missed the past three games with an ankle injury.
