Giants waive Eric Herman

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants have waived offensive lineman Eric Herman, who returned to the team Wednesday after his four-week performance-enhancing drugs suspension was cut in half by the NFL's new PED policy.

The Giants were granted a two-day roster exemption for Herman, and had to make a decision on him by 4 p.m. Friday. He could be added to the team's practice squad, if he clears waivers.

Herman was a seventh-round draft pick by the Giants in 2013 out of Ohio University. He spent almost his entire rookie season on the practice squad.
