This New York Giants team is clearly in a rebuild mode, with a passing game that's still in development and lacks a lot of key pieces. Their only hope is to run the ball effectively and play good defense. But they played terrible defense in the opener Monday night and they ran for only 53 yards on 22 carries -- an average of 2.4 yards per carry.

The Cardinals allowed fewer rush yards (84.4 per game) than any team in the league last year and allowed the second-fewest rushing yards (52) of any team in the league in Week 1. It's going to be tough for the Giants to do what they need to do to get the offense going.

My prediction: Cardinals 17, Giants 13.
