A position-by-position look at the New Orleans Saints' 90-man roster heading into the start of training camp. Players report on Thursday and will hold their first practice Friday at The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia. Current depth chart: Kicker: Shayne Graham, Derek Dimke Punter: Thomas Morstead Long snapper: Justin Drescher Gone from last year: K Garrett Hartley Key roster battle: This one’s pretty obvious since only one of these jobs is actually up for grabs. Graham has to be considered the front-runner for the kicker job -- as he should be. As I’ve written many times, I’m very high on Graham despite two tough field-goal misses in the playoff loss at Seattle. Graham strikes me as the kind of steady, veteran presence the Saints had in past years with guys such as John Carney and John Kasay. Dimke has some talent, though, and he performed well with other teams during the last two preseasons before ultimately being released. So he’ll definitely give Graham a run for his money. The preseason games will play a big role in this decision.
